Just Gumbo is a company offering the classic Creole style gumbo. It's a savory and authentic, New Orleans, Creole gumbo developed by a great Creole cook and served for four generations. By those in the know, gumbo isn't considered to "really" be gumbo unless it contains okra. We stand on that stipulation and we offer gumbo with all the flavor of okra but without any of its sliminess. Soon we plan to offer an Okra Gumbo for vegetarians and "okra lovers", as well as a seafood lover’s variety. We now offer the Classic Creole Style Gumbo for traditional gumbo lovers and those who desire something new yet exceptional. It contains sausages, both pork and beef as well as crabs. For best texture, we recomment you add two uncooked shrimp per servicng as you bring your gumbo to a gentle boil. Granddaughter turns family recipe into a family business.

Cleveland, Ohio (January 2009) - Just Gumbo is pleased to announce the availability of Classic Creole Gumbo nationwide. If you've ever had gumbo at a fabulous French Quarter restaurant in New Orleans, you'll want to experience this Classic Creole Style Gumbo at a restaurant near you.
As founder and president of Just Gumbo, Debra Mouton was disappointed that real New Orleans gumbo, as wonderful as it is, was only available in restaurants within a few square miles in New Orleans. Her grandmother's gumbo recipe had been served in her home, given to friends as gifts and graced her holiday table for decades. After hurricane Katrina, the long held dream to market her grandmother's recipe took on a life of its own. Her philosophy is simple. Just Gumbo should stay true to her grandmother's recipes, be made with the freshest ingredients, flash frozen to maintain that freshness and made widely available.
"Growing up in New Orleans, gumbo was always served on special occasions. For occasions like birthdays, Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner, it was the standard fare. But there are lots of occasions where gumbo is perfect. Who wants to cook on Super Bowl Sunday? Whether you're hosting a Super Bowl party or just taking a dish; buy a case of beer and dazzle your friends.
